Upon arrival you will be greeted and escorted to your suite where chilled champagne and chocolates await your arrival. You are invited to join fellow guests in the Quitman Lounge and Study and enjoy complimentary cocktail nibbles from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and discover new friendships each evening of your stay. 

Your five course Taste of the South  dinner one evening is served on an antique Empire table set with beautiful china and silver, under a 19th century chandelier, along with attentive service marks this event is just one of the highlights of this package. The Chef will greet each guest and invite culinary conversation. After dinner drinks featuring the southern signature drink “Mint Julep” will be served in the Quitman Lounge and Study each night of your stay.

When you finally decide to crawl out of your comfy bed, a gourmet Southern breakfast is served each morning.  You can partake in a detailed guided tour of the historic Main House on the morning of your choice and learn more about General Quitman and the families who have resided here since 1818.

When it comes time to explore Natchez, you will enjoy a personal guide for a tour of three antebellum mansions which were spared during the "War of Northern Aggression", or more commonly known as the Civil War. And while you are out and about, a narrated carriage ride through the historic downtown area will reveal more of Natchez's rich and colourful history and many great architectural buildings.

A private hot air balloon ride over Natchez is the featured activity in this Ultimate Getaway and will certainly heighten your senses. Hot air balloon rides offer a fun and exciting adventure provided you're okay with heights. A ride in a hot air balloon is sure to be something extraordinary and, naturally, your flight is subject to safe weather conditions being present at the time of your flight and the availability of a licensed pilot.

And when all that has been accomplished, you can return to your suite for relaxing massages, read a great book or simply nod off after two days of exploration and discovery.
